Located in the city of Bradford, the University of Bradford operates two campuses at Emm Lane and Richmond Road and comprises five faculties. The institution attracts students from different parts of the world and provides a range of academic and welfare support services designed to enhance learning and prepare graduates for global careers.
According to the university, beneficiaries of the scholarship scheme will have access to innovative learning environments, modern research spaces and new recreational facilities.
Scholarship Summary
The University of Bradford Scholarships are tenable in the United Kingdom and fall under undergraduate, postgraduate, masterโs and PhD categories. Eligible applicants are drawn from all countries, while the benefits include full tuition coverage, monthly stipends and accommodation support. The university noted that International English Language Testing System (IELTS) certification is not mandatory at the point of application, and no specific deadline has been announced.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants of any nationality are eligible to apply. However, priority will be given to students from underrepresented groups, including Black students, persons with disabilities, female students, care leavers, students from low-participation neighbourhoods (POLAR Q1 and Q2), refugees granted sanctuary status by the university, estranged students, Gypsy, Roma and Traveller students, as well as children of military families, veterans and partners of military personnel.
In cases of over-subscription, preference will be accorded to candidates with two or more underrepresented characteristics. Care leavers will be prioritised due to their low representation within the university community and in highly skilled employment. This is followed by Black students, disabled students and female students, particularly in recognition of their underrepresentation in the digital sector.
Duration and Benefits
The scholarship package includes full tuition coverage, monthly stipends and accommodation support for successful applicants.
Required Documents
Applicants are required to submit additional information to confirm eligibility, a personal statement, letter of motivation, letter of recommendation and a curriculum vitae (CV). For admission into a masterโs programme, candidates must possess a first-class honours degree or its equivalent at the undergraduate level and meet the universityโs academic entry requirements.
Applicants whose first language is not English may be required to provide evidence of English language proficiency before admission into a postgraduate programme.
Application Process
Prospective candidates are advised to visit the official scholarship webpage of the University of Bradford to select their desired programme and associated scholarship. Applicants are required to carefully review the guidelines, prepare the necessary documents and submit their applications online.
