The Lagos State Scholarship Board (LSSB) has announced the commencement of applications for the 2025/2026 Lagos State Scholarship and Bursary Awards, aimed at supporting eligible indigenes of the state pursuing tertiary education.

A statement made available on the Board’s official portal on Friday said the scheme is open to Lagos State indigenes enrolled in accredited institutions across Nigeria.

According to the Board, beneficiaries under the scheme stand to receive financial support of up to ₦400,000, with the exact amount determined by the applicant’s level of study and category.

The scholarship and bursary scheme covers students in the following categories:

• Undergraduate programmes

• Postgraduate studies

• Colleges of Education

The initiative, the Board said, forms part of the Lagos State Government’s broader commitment to promoting access to quality education, reducing the financial burden on students, and building a skilled human capital base for the state’s long-term development.

The Board urged interested and qualified candidates to apply early, noting that the application deadline is Feb. 27, 2026.

The Board also advised applicants to ensure that all information provided during the application process is accurate and verifiable, warning that submission of false information could lead to disqualification.
