Iran has issued a stern warning to Israel against intensifying military operations in Lebanon, raising concerns over a wider regional conflict amid renewed exchanges of strikes involving Israeli forces, Hezbollah and Iranian-backed groups.
The latest development followed Israeli airstrikes on targets in Beirut’s southern suburbs, which Israel said were directed at Hezbollah positions after projectiles were launched into northern Israel from Lebanese territory.
