Kashim Ibrahim University Teaching Hospital, Maiduguri, has announced the commencement of recruitment into several clinical positions as part of efforts to strengthen its workforce and improve healthcare services in Borno State.

The institution, in an official vacancy announcement signed by its management, invited suitably qualified candidates to apply for nine categories of clinical roles across different departments.

According to the notice, the available positions include Medical Officer (CONMESS 3), Pharmacist (CONHESS 09), Radiographer (CONHESS 09), Physiotherapist (CONHESS 09), Medical Laboratory Scientist (CONHESS 09), Medical Laboratory Technician (CONHESS 06), Nurse (CONHESS 06), Health Information Management Officer (CONHESS 06), and Environmental Health Officer (CONHESS 06).

The hospital outlined specific academic and professional requirements for each role.
Medical Officer applicants must hold an MBBS degree from a recognised institution, be fully registered with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria, and present evidence of NYSC completion.

Pharmacist applicants are required to possess a B.Pharm degree, be registered with the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria and must have completed the mandatory one-year national service.

For the Radiographer role, candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in Radiography, be registered with the Radiographers Registration Board of Nigeria and provide NYSC discharge evidence.

Physiotherapist applicants must hold a recognised B.Sc. in Physiotherapy or related fields such as Prosthetics/Orthotics or Anatomy and must possess a valid practising licence.

Medical Laboratory Scientists are expected to hold a BMLS degree or its equivalent, be registered with the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria and must provide evidence of NYSC completion.

Candidates for the Medical Laboratory Technician role must possess a National Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology and be duly registered with the Institute of Medical Laboratory Technology of Nigeria.

The hospital also seeks qualified Nurses with RN or RM certifications and registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria.

For Health Information Management Officers, an ND in Health Information Management, registration with HRORBN and computer proficiency are required.

Environmental Health Officer applicants must hold an ND in Environmental Health Technology and be registered with EHORECON.

The hospital stressed that all positions require ICT proficiency and that NYSC discharge or exemption certificates are mandatory for eligible categories.

The management further clarified that only shortlisted candidates will receive acknowledgements and be invited for interviews.

The notice, issued under the authority of the Director of Administration, Alhaji Ali Mohammed, reflects KIUTH’s ongoing expansion and commitment to enhancing healthcare delivery in the state.
